(Singapore, 8 March 2011) - Xerafy Ltd, the leading global supplier of passive UHF RFID on-metal and RFID-in-metal tags for high performance and demanding applications, has been named a “Best in Show” finalist at the annual RFID Journal Awards this year.
The award nominations are made in recognition of excellence in the field of radio frequency identification for innovative new product being exhibited at the event.
RFID Journal LIVE! Is the largest RFID conference and exhibition in the world and it attracts vendors from around the world showing off their latest RFID products and services,” said Mark Roberti, owner of RFID Journal Inc. “Competition for the Best in Show Award is always stiff. Xerafy’s embedded tags clearly impressed our independent panel of judges.”
The nomination recognizes Xerafy’s embedded product technology breakthrough of ultra-high frequency interference when embedded in metal, the first of its kind in the market. The ability to embed a small EPC RFID transponder without sacrificing performance, particularly in metals, has created significant opportunities in a diversity of markets from manufacturing, oil and gas, MRO, consumer electronics and beyond. The high performing embedded IN tags not only provide track-and-trace functionality, but also further enable source-tagging and authentication.
“No passive UHF RFID tag available today has shown comparable performance once embedded in a metallic crevice,” said Dennis Khoo, CEO of Xerafy. “When embedding a tag is a requirement for the solution, Xerafy embedded tags are the only tags to consider.”
Earlier this year, Xerafy was also awarded the Global Frost & Sullivan Product Innovation Award for RFID UHF Solutions for its embedded tags, endorsing the profound impact Xerafy’s RFID in-metal technology brings to the industry, enabling unimaginable benefits of RFID solutions to manufacturers and end customers.
