RFID & Wireless IoT Tomorrow 2018 Debuts Automotive Track

The RFID & Wireless IoT Tomorrow 2018 conference features a new focus on automotive applications. Xerafy’s customers and technology partners will highlight Xerafy’s RFID and IIoT solutions at the show.

This year’s RFID & Wireless IoT Tomorrow conference will run on October 30 and 31 at the Darmstadtium in Germany. Fittingly, this year’s conference will feature a heavy focus on the automotive sector. As part of the Automotive Forum at the show, industry giants Mercedes and Volkswagen are participating. The two companies will conduct presentations during the conference sessions about how they have applied RFID as a key technology in supply chain and logistics applications.

The Automotive Forum sessions will feature a number of prominent RFID use cases. Volkswagen will discuss how RFID is used in prototype construction and logistics, and attendees will also learn how RFID is used for container management in automotive engineering (including examples from Mercedes Benz and its suppliers). The German Association of the Automotive Industry will provide an update on the results of the VDA and ODETTE working groups on container management and track and trace, and Daimler will present on using RFID as a key technology in the Mercedes Benz supply chain.

In 2017, Xerafy’s solutions were prominently featured at the show, with its tags used in three of the healthcare end user case studies at the conference. Representatives from Klinikum Oldenburg, Charite CFM Facility Management, and Hadatap presented Xerafy-based solutions, and attendees also got a chance to see our expanded Trak series of tags. Xerafy’s technology will be demonstrated this year by several of our technology partners and clients, who are using our rugged RFID tags as part of their solutions.

This is the same conference where, last year, Xerafy launched its VDA-compliant Micro X II tags – marking Xerafy’s continued advancement of Industry 4.0 concepts in the automotive sector.
